Client

The client is an engineering company providing solutions for optimizing energy efficiency, they are one of the world’s leading suppliers of innovative and energy-efficient solutions that increase machine productivity, reduce emissions, lower energy consumption, and enable electrification.

Challenge

The client struggled with communication, distribution of information, and track of commissions for his contractors. He wanted to be able to effectively and efficiently solve this with a single app giving the best UX during system installation process.

Solution

We had to create a commissioning app for installers of cooling and heating devices, focusing on ease of use, while overcoming diverse barriers. We adjusted project development plans and estimations to reach the client’s milestones and fit the budget. We also had to integrate with several existing system setups. This engagement required the skillset and expertise of high-profile developers who can upgrade existing legacy applications to current trends and devices.

The solution was, to put together a native mobile team that could fulfill the client’s needs of maintaining the existing applications and work alongside them as a part of the client’s team to develop the new product and commissioning application.

The new product

The app features included installation guides, troubleshooting, FAQs, offline firmware updates, license updates, system tests, network tests, and generating installation and system reports. The app was designed to be used with several system setups and can communicate with the hardware via BLE and USB using a proprietary communication protocol.

We did the design, and development of new applications from the ground up, in parallel with hardware development done by the client. New solutions are highly supported on Qinshift’s side, not only in the development but also in adding new ideas and improving the processes and practices.

We also offered the skillset and expertise of our high-profile developers to upgrade existing legacy applications to current trends and devices. We provided research and development services, and quality assurance support on demand, to make sure we are delivering high-end service when needed.
