Micro Matic decided to focus on digitalization to expand its portfolio and provide a comprehensive offer to their customers. In addition to beverage dispense equipment and solutions, they strived to add value through modern data management that benefits the customers’ business.

Solution

We had to work with a large volume of data to create a data-based system management that collects, stores, analyses, and monitors data, and based on that, alerts about beverage system issues, and enables users to set up and manage the system.

IoT

We develop an interactive IoT platform, that provides its users with a detailed overview of the outlets with all necessary data and calls-to-action. It is a complex solution that is easy to manage, user-friendly, and convenient for further improvements and building up.

Sensor data integration

As a step forward from the developed IoT platform, we embarked on another project aiming to integrate comprehensive and enriched data sets collected by new sensors being installed on the equipment. Thanks to the data now being available on the platform, customers can have better insight into beverage metrics and their dynamics.

Implementation process

By providing valuable team members and experts from all needed fields of expertise, the client has our full support in achieving the corporate goals. We focused on delivering the platform and integrating data within the set timeframe, collaborating with a partner company on the mutual product, and responding to changing market conditions by applying agile methodologies. We accomplished this through thorough and diligent work by understanding the client’s business needs and suggesting and implementing appropriate technical solutions. Besides existing hardware offers, this solution expanded Micro Matic’s portfolio. Starting from the initial but important feature - monitoring and control of outlets where the beverage is being tapped, the platform evolved with more advanced features such as complete management and monitoring of digital lenses and digital content. Additionally, we developed capabilities to handle the upload and content management of media for digital signage.

Qinshift has been collaborating with the client’s hardware provider, by utilizing know-how, industry trends, best practices, and nevertheless technology expertise.

We also had to overcome the challenge of having multiple teams and time zones involved in the process, as the client partnered with Qinshift for software development, and a third-party company for the hardware part of the solution.
